Renting a sports car without a credit card – how it works

With many rental companies, the booking falls apart over one detail: a credit card is mandatory, often with a high available limit for the deposit. Why do many companies require a credit card?

Classically the credit card serves as security: the company blocks (reserves) the deposit amount on the card without charging it immediately. That's convenient for the company but excludes everyone without a credit card or sufficient limit – a frequent obstacle precisely with valuable sports cars and their correspondingly high deposits.

How the deposit works with us

On request we also accept your own car as security – a flexible solution that's practical especially with higher deposits. Just get in touch and we'll clarify the details individually. That way the dream of a sports car doesn't hinge on a piece of plastic.

Requirements stay the same

Regardless of the payment method, the usual requirements apply: minimum age 19, a category B licence held for at least one year and a valid ID document.
